    Certain Sole-traders and landlords with qualifying income in excess of £50,000 in 2024-25 should have been informed by the HMRC that they must begin MTD reporting from 6 April 2026. The HMRC require taxpayers to file their returns only by their approved software, and there are many good reasons for taxpayers to adopt such solutions. It does not mean, however, that taxpayers must buy and learn new software. Read why.

As stated, an explanation on how to enter the codes for a person with significant control (PSC) is provided once the confirmation statement has been completed. If the 14-day window for entering the codes for a PSC coincide with the day you are attempting to complete the confirmation statement, then the user will be able to complete that exercise as well. In any event, it is worth following the link to discover what dates you can enter the required codes for your PSCs.
