Step 1: Accessing the new Companies House system

You can access the system at the following URL: https://www.gov.uk./guidance/provide-psc-verification

The landing page provides all the information you will need to successfully update your company's records, including how to find out the narrow 14-day window you must make your submission for each person with significant control (PSC).

The process is well sign-posted and easy to complete. This of course requires that you have the correct ID-verification details to hand for each PSC to be updated. We have shortened the webpage, but just in case you discover you have missing information, or you been given incorrect details, you can see you can request a short extension using this service. More details in a later stage, but it is worth noting the extension request must be made during the original 14-day window.
